The Warming Center (overnight freeze shelter) will be opening once again at the Getsemani Center at 412 E. 19th Street, starting Friday January 23.  To better coordinate our efforts in providing meals, which are so appreciated by our unhoused neighbors, and a gift from many in our community, Helping Hands of Georgetown is asking us all to use the POINT app.    (It's kinda like Sign-up Genius)    This app posts what the daily volunteer needs are and it helps Helping Hands track volunteer hours and more.    Because we have some other community groups and churches now assisting, using the POINT app was the best way to coordinate efficiently.   

In this case, we need meals, help transporting friends from/to library area to Getsemani Center, and staying overnight.   

POINT APP        Create a Log In and Select Helping Hands of Georgetown, and you will send the various ways to volunteer and dates needed.
