This coming Sunday our congregation we will have the opportunity to discuss social justice issues during the service rather than hearing a sermon. The Texas UU Justice Ministry is asking every UU congregation in Texas to read the book, We Cry Justice: Reading the Bible with the Poor People’s Campaign, which contains 53 reflections on justice issues written by the organizers of the National Call for Moral Revival. Each of these reflections addresses the dynamics involved in ending the economic, political, racial, and environmental injustices and inequities that exist in America today.
In preparation for the congregational conversation this coming Sunday, you are invited to read a five-page summary of this 229-page book. This summary will be very helpful in our interactive sermon conversations on Sunday.
