The Social Justice team is holding a Spanish language book drive for Georgetown ISD during the month of August. While being interviewed by KVUE back in March, I asked a GISD administrator how the district has been impacted by ICE presence in Williamson County. The impact has been steady, with less parental interaction at school hosted activities due to fear of deportation. GISD has had to slow down on advertising events, like open house, field day, meet the teacher night, etc
