First Goal of the Legacy Fund Campaign Now Completed

Thanks for the generosity of our congregation and the advanced gifts that have already been received, our church facilities now have new high-quality roofs installed. 

Replacing the roofs on our three buildings was the first goal of our capital campaign.  As you will see in these pictures, the sanctuary now has a new green metal roof with a 30 year+ manufacturer's warranty on the material and a 5 year workmanship warranty by 1st Choice Roofing of Georgetown.  Both the Fellowship House and The Little House have a 5 year workmanship warranty and a life-time manufacturer's warranty on the shingles that 1st Choice Roofing installed on these two buildings.  Additionally, this roofing project includes new solar attic ventilation equipment and larger capacity gutters with screens on the sanctuary building.  Not only will these new roofs help maintain the life of our buildings and reduce property insurance costs, they provide a very attractive appearance for our church facilities. 

The Facilities Team and the Board of SGUUF are very grateful for the contributions to the Legacy Fund Campaign that made these improvements to our facilities possible.  The advanced gifts alone to our capital campaign has allowed the Board to pay the complete cost of $60,000 for these roof replacements.  As more of the pledges to the Legacy Fund come in this year and the next, our congregation can expect to see additional improvements to our facilities and the retirement of the remaining mortgage debt on our church property.
